Bilawal Bhutto Zardari


Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was born on 21st September 1988. Born in the political Bhutto dynasty, Bilawal Bhutto is a the only son of Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. Bilawal Bhutto was three months old When his mother 1st became Prime Minister of Pakistan. His grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto also lead Pakistan during th 1970's. On 18 October 2014 Bilawal Bhutto officialy started his career by addressing a huge rally in Karachi. 

Early life

Bilawal Bhutto was born on 21st Septeber 1988 at Lady Dufferin Hospital in Karachi. He has two sisters Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Asifa Bhutto Zardari. Bilawal Bhutto is also the grandson of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He was admitted in the prestigious Aitichison College Lahore but due to some security problems Bilawal bhutto moved to the Karachi Grammar School during his mother’s second term in office as Prime Minister. He later joined the Forebel's international school in Islamabad. Bilawal Bhutto left Pakistan with his mother in 1999. His father was in jail for corruption charges from 1996 to 2004. Bilawal Bhutto spent his childhood in London and Dubai during his family self-exile. He later joined Rashid School For Boys in Dubai, where he was Vice President of the student council. He has a black belt in Taekwondo but regrets he could not play cricket because of his family circumstances.
In year 2007, Bilawal matriculated at Christ Church, a constituent college of the University of Oxford. He studied British history. His mother Benazir also enrolled him in the Oxford Union debating society. In  2007, he returned to his country Pakistan after Benazir was assassinated. In September 2008, Bilawal Bhutto also returned to Pakistan  to witness his father sworn in as President of Pakistan. In 2010 Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received his graduation degree.

Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party

After the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, Benazir's political will declared Asif Zardari as Benazir's successor for his party leadership. Zardari planned to act as co-chairman of the PPP for at least three years until Bilawal completed his studies overseas. On 30 December 2007 Bilawal was appointed chairman of the PPP. Asif Ali Zardari also announced Bilawal’s name change from Bilawal Zardari to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Bilawal Bhutto was still studying at that time at Oxford. It had been estimated that Bilawal's security at Oxford may cost at least 1 million pounds every year. In year 2011, He returned to Pakistan and became more actively involved in Pakistani politics, notably when his father went for medical care to outside in Dubai. On 27 December 2012, Bilawal bhutto made his major public speech, which marked the fifth death anniversary of his late mother, Benazir Bhutto. Bilawal turned 25 in 2013, thus becoming eligible to run for the National Assembly, as the Pakistan Constitution requires the minimum age of lagislators to be 25 years.  Asif Zardari rejected the view that Bilawal bhutto might run for the by-election seat but he said that he will contest the next election due in 2018.
