Colours tv, in United states and Canada are known as Aapka Colors. Colours tv is a hindi language channel which based is in Mumbai, India. Colours tv is a part of Videocon 18 family and launched on 21 July 2008. The head quarter of colours tv is in Delhi and Utter pradesh, India. Colours tv channel cast a number of shows such as Comedy Nights with Kapil, Shastri sisters — chaar dil ek dhadkan, Meri Aashiqui tumse hi, Balika Vadhu — Kachchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte, Sasural Simar Ka, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Udaan Sapnon Ki, Code Red, Swaragini — Jodein Rishton Ke Sur,Thapki Pyaar Ki, Talaash, Naagin, 24 Season 2,Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and India's Got Talent 6. It also has a sister channel named Rishtey. In India and Nepal Colours HD was added by various DTH operators including DishTV, Videocon d2h Airtel digital tv and Tata Sky. Colors HD is also provided by Hathway digital cable. This channel is also available on 1080i.
On 21 january 2010 in US, colours became available on Dish network where it is called Apka colours. Famous tv actor Amitabh bachan served as a brand ambassador for the USA and United Kingdom launches. In UK and Ireland, colours tv launched on sky cable on 25 january 2010. INX media on 9 december 2009 confirmed that Colors tv had bought 9XM's Sky EPG slot on 829 channel . On january 2010, Colours reserved a deal to join the ViewAsia subscription package. Initally the colours channel was available free-to-air and later on 19 April 2010 colours tv was added to the View Asia package. On 1 April 2011, colours tv was added to virgin media as a part of the the Asian Mela pack. Later on 2 September 2013, colours rv network has left View Asia package and has became a free-to-air on satellite
again.
